Which film should I choose in order to protect the displayed goods from losing their colour (fading)? |
| |
To protect the goods from fading we recommend UV protection radiation films. They are also offered in colourless version, which enables a full display of goods without compromising the transparency of your display window. |
Does the mirror film work like a ‘Venetian mirror’? Does it preserve its qualities at night? |
| |
The mirror film works on the basis of differences in the intensity of light, which means that if you want to prevent the interiors from being seen at night, the interiors cannot be brighter than the surrounding. During the day the film serves its purpose ideally; however at night it is advisable to use blinds or shutters. |
What is the fundamental difference between solar control and heat-insulating films? |
| |
The main function of heat-insulating films is to protect the building from the loss of heat, which helps to reduce the costs of energy consumption. Solar control films are used to ensure an optimal temperature in the room in summer months. |
Do interior solar control films protect the interiors from excessive heating to the same extent as solar control exterior films? |
| |
No. Solar control exterior films are more efficient to reduce the temperature inside a room. |
I would like to install the film reducing the permeation of heat. I have plastic windows with double glazings. I’ve heard there could be a sort of a thermal shock when I install window films. How can this be explained? |
| |
In the case of double glazed units, external solar control films are recommended. Internal films in this case contribute to creating huge differences of temperatures between internal and glazing external, which is directly exposed to glare.
External solar control films ensure full reflection of glare from the glass surface |
What do the numbers in the name of films mean? |
| |
The higher the number of a film (e.g. 80), the darker the film is, and the stronger mirror effect occurs. |
I‘d like to know if it matters whether your films are measured ‘in length’ or ‘in width’? |
| |
The films can be reversed by 90 grades. The properties of a film are not related to the direction of its installing. |
Can I install the film more than once? |
| |
No. The film which has been detached cannot be used again. |
What is the best way to detach a film? |
| |
Direct a stream of hot air from a hairdryer onto the film, and detach it slowly, beginning from the corners. Any possible remains of glue can be washed by solvent or nail varnish remover. |
How should I clean the window with installted film so as not to damage the surface of the film? |
| |
Once the drying process is finished, you can wash the window. We recommend gentle cleaning agents for glass surfaces. Use a soft cloth. |
I’ve heard opinions that experts install films under the rubber seal, taking the glazings out of the frames first. Is such an operation really necessary for a successful installing of the film? |
| |
Taking the glazings out of the frames is recommended only for safety or anti-burglar soils. In other cases the operation is not necessary. |
